Carlsbad Desalination Plant Celebrates First Anniversary

The nation’s largest and most technologically advanced seawater desalination plant celebrated its first anniversary in the North County. In its first year of operations, the Claude “Bud” Lewis Carlsbad Desalination Plant produced enough high-quality water from the Pacific Ocean to meet approximately 10 percent of the region’s demand. Arts, Crafts and Drafts at Culver Beer Company

The latest gathering of Arts Crafts and Drafts at Culver Beer Company provided for a great night of fundraising for charity programs that protect the ocean and environment, rescue animals, and provide clean water and nourishment to the impoverished. Four Carlsbad Artists Exhibit in 2017 Juried Biennial Artists

Nearly three dozen artists are featured in the 2017 Juried Biennial exhibit now through March 5 at William D. Cannon Art Gallery. This year’s exhibit features 44 art pieces by 35 artists. The city accepted submissions from artists 18 years of age and older, who live, work or have a studio in San Diego County. Carlsbad Causes for Community (C3) held its 4th annual Village Food Drive November 2016 collecting 763.5 pounds of food for Got Your Back San Diego!
