New Oska® Pulse Shows to Reduce Pain in Pilot Clinical Study
Oska Wellness has released a third-party, independent study showing significant results that Pulse can reduce pain and improve mobility. Oska Pulse is a safe, easy-to-use, portable and wearable health technology product designed to help reduce muscle stiffness, temporarily relieve minor pain and increase mobility for people who have acute or chronic pain. The findings were published in the Journal of Pain Management and suggest that Oska Pulse is a very effective method in managing pain relief.
Of the preliminary results, the most promising findings include:
- 80% of participants experienced an improvement in pain reduction
- 40% reported a perceived improvement in overall mobility
- 30% of the total participants remained pain-free or nearly pain-free for the duration of the four week trial
The Oska Pulse’s “Sequential Protocol Programming” delivers four frequencies specifically related to muscle relaxation, bone tissue circulation, capillary dilation and pain reduction. By helping to release the body’s natural endorphins, the Oska Pulse helps reduce pain and promotes increased range of motion. By dilating blood vessels, it reduces inflammation and the increased oxygen rich blood flow speeds muscle recovery. oskawellness.com

Paige dressed as Marie Antoinette, Betsy Ross, a gladiator, an accused member of the Salem witch trials, and many, many more. pacificridge.org
UCSD Students, La Costa Glen Residents Team Up on New Products for Seniors
Serving as the ultimate focus group, residents of the La Costa Glen retirement community in Carlsbad recently teamed up with 70 engineering students from UC San Diego to develop new products to help seniors with daily living. The students and seniors worked for months to design the devices. The La Costa Glen residents tested the products and provided feedback on what worked, what didn’t, how to price the product and how to market it. The devices ranged from a shopping cart-style walker to a shoe insole that helps seniors walk safely. Also popular was a hearing aid that converts conversation into text which can be read on a smartphone. A Design Competition Showcase featuring the student prototypes was held in June, with the La Costa Glen residents judging the final designs. This year’s winner was KiWi Attention Companion, a device that warns walking seniors of possible tripping hazards. lacostaglen.com
