Bluewater Grill Names Managers for Carlsbad Location
Bluewater Grill Carlsbad has announced that two long-time north San Diego County residents have assumed the roles of managing partner and executive chef at the newest Carlsbad Village destination for fresh, sustainable seafood, monthly chef’s tastings and neighborhood happy hours.
Giorgio Tegami, a 30-year restaurant veteran, has been named Bluewater Grill Carlsbad managing partner and general manager. The Milan, Italy, native and long-time Carlsbad resident comes from Il Fornaio, where he opened the Irvine, Carmel-by-the-Sea and Coronado restaurants as general manager before being asked to launch the company’s upscale seafood concept, Canaletto Ristorante Veneto, in Newport Beach.
Art Garcia of San Marcos, previously the executive chef for Fish House Vera Cruz restaurants in Carlsbad, Temecula and San Marcos, has taken on similar duties at Bluewater Grill Carlsbad. Garcia opened Bluewater Grill Temecula as executive chef in 2014 and will bring his years of experience in grilling, fresh-fish preparation and gourmet seafood and shellfish recipe creation back to Carlsbad.

Giorgio and Art have the experience and local relationships to help us do just that.”
Bluewater Grill is open now in a completely redesigned and expanded space at 417 Carlsbad Village Drive.
Oska Wellness Brings On Two Executives
Oska Wellness, a technology company committed to developing consumer health and wellness products, announced two key additions to its executive leadership team with the hiring of Mike Regan as Chief Operating Officer and Gary Acord as Chief Financial Officer.

Mike Regan will oversee the procurement, manufacturing, and fulfillment of the supply chain, as well as customer service and information systems. Regan is a seasoned executive with over 35 years’ experience in private and public software companies. He has a broad operational expertise in customer training and support, information technology, product development and professional services. Regan has played a key role in helping such companies as Sybase, KACE Networks, and Alteryx expand their global footprint in the EMEA and Asia Pacific regions.
Gary Acord was most recently at Alteryx, Inc. where he served as CFO for five years. He previously held a variety of strategic and finance leadership positions with a number of companies, including KACE Networks, MusicMatch, Inc. and SalesLogix. He also had a long career with KPMG, where he was a managing partner.

Carlsbad resident Chuck Samuelson, founder of San Diego non-profit Kitchens for Good, is literally saving lives and creating jobs in San Diego for at-risk youth and residents. 70% of Kitchens for Good’s operating budget is funded by its catering and events.
